What do you think of people that are overly sarcastic? I'm talking about to the point that every other thing you say, they have something sarcastic to say in response, which they may think of as "jokingly". Does it annoy you right away, eventually or you love it?

I'm one of them so I tend to like it but I will tone it down if I sense the person I'm talking to doesn't appreciate it.

Also sarcasm rarely works OL, in e-mail or text.

Every other thing they say? Might be a bit much.

But I constantly use sarcasm, some people get it... some people get annoyed. But I always say "I make jokes to make myself laugh... anyone else laughing is just a bonus".

Is your fiancee a sarcastic person as well? (I think you're the one that's getting married)

I am so very sarcastic, in everything I do and say and I love it!

But to my woman or my lover or someone I adore, sarcasm is never and should never be used because sarcasm is to joke or make the other person look stupid or lesser by putting them down.

If they are my everything there is nothing stupid about them.

Constance use of sarcasm would be a yellow-flag to me. It points to the state of mind, outlook on the world, possibly relationships and personality style that would soon get tiring and abrasive.

A little bit is okay, but too frequent and it could be a potential troubling personality trait you may not appreciate hearing it day after day, or minute after minute...

Yep, we have fun with it.

Sarcasm can be a useful tool in a relationship. It's better than getting angry about something, and a much more subtle way to let your partner know something is troubling you. Someone using constantly though, is a real ball-breaker.

If it happens too often, I will think the person is trying too hard (and I like sarcasm)!
