We just went on a mini vacation together just for the weekend. He has FB. He mentioned it before. He hasnt asked to add me, Im thinking of adding him. Do you guys think its a good idea or would it be too soon or does it look like Im stalking him?

I would've added him ever since we started being friends!! Yes we went on a short trip together for the weekend, friday till sunday and we had so much fun! I had bad experience with someone I was dating before and that guy did not add me on FB because he was cheating and lying to his gf and me.

I think you shouldnt add him on facebook! try something new... believe me at the end facebook just destroys !! you will fully enjoy it without the media
pyramid Posted December 16, 2013 Posted December 16, 2013 I never add people I am dating. I want to be able to control what they know about me, and when they know it. I also don't want to stress about "well he's active on fb right now but he is ignoring my text" type of thing. 2

MalachiX Posted December 16, 2013 Posted December 16, 2013 If he's your BF then obviously you should add him (though the "relationship status" thing gets tricky...) When to ad is a bit of minefield. Normally I add every person I meet in real life, largely for networking purposes because I'm in the entertainment business and the more contacts you have the better. When you're dating someone though, it can be challenging to figure out the right time. If I ask out someone who I've known as a friend then chances are I've already added them on facebook. If I ask out someone I meet at a party through mutual friends, it's a bit dicier. If I thought they were attractive but didn't make firm date plans then I'll usually add them since we havn't decided if we're going to go out. On the other hand, if I got their number and already asked them out, I'll hold off on the friend request just because I want to see where this goes and don't want it to feel like I'm invading their personal space so soon into the relationship (not to mention it's probably not great if they search through my pictures and see a photo of me and my ex from five years ago...) Finally, if I've met someone online I don't add them. If we entered a committed relationship then I would but I've never had an online relationship go longer than a month or so.
