Crila16 Posted December 15, 2013 Posted December 15, 2013 Ex boyfriend who broke up with me a month ago, via text at 2:40am on a Monday morning, after 4 months of dating, txt me a happy birthday text. I still have feelings for him, but the cowardly way he treated me and kept coming up with excuses to not get together to talk things through, really hurt me. He had even told me he loved me and had been planning my bday party with my best friend, a week before he just ended I it. Do I respond to his birthday text with a thanks or do I ignore it? I've done NC since we broke up. I don't know what to do. I'm torn and afraid no response will ruin any future chances of possibly getting together to talk, should he ever come around...and yet, after the way he acted about breaking up with me, he doesn't deserve to know he's still in my head. I don't know what to do.
Haydn Posted December 15, 2013 Posted December 15, 2013 NO NO NO NO. The drill.......if he wants you, your door would be kicked in Aspiring is correct!

Fangorn Posted December 15, 2013 Posted December 15, 2013 Nope, no contact, not ever. These guys are correct, you wait 'til that person is kicking in your door begging before you even think about reconciliation.
Author Crila16 Posted December 15, 2013 Author Posted December 15, 2013 If I don't respond, I'll probably never hear from him again...so no Xmas or NYrs probably. It's probably for the best. He was able to chase me in the beginning, he can man up and do it again. Otherwise, I'm listening to u guys...no response. Thank u for your advice everyone. 2
