Eternal Sunshine Posted December 15, 2013 Posted December 15, 2013 When you meet her while out... Is the true that the more time goes by, the lower your interest level? At which point is it a write off?
Author Eternal Sunshine Posted December 15, 2013 Author Posted December 15, 2013 I wait...and if I really like her I wait a little longer. It's not that I'm trying to intentionally play mind-games with her or mislead her. I just understand human nature and from experience have found that a good back and forth of cat and mouse allows chemistry to develop and feelings of interest to intensify. There's a time for letting yourself fall madly, recklessly in love without fear of the consequences but to get there you have to want each other. We've all had someone great throw themselves at us and while it's flattering it usually lacks the necessary spark that leads to something passionate. It's the same reason I prefer to hold off on being intimate. I want us both to be ravenously hungry for one another before we go there. You can have just plain old sex with anyone, but to be with someone you've been daydreaming and fantasizing about for a long time is something entirely different. Yes - I have noticed that I need to develop a longing for someone before I can feel fully passionate. It usually takes some time. The longer the build up, the hotter the sex. So totally agree.
