Needless to say, there was plently of alcohol and everyone (including my bf) was extremely wasted. I wasn't. I like to be a little drunk but not enough to not be conscious of my actions and what I hear or do. (2 drink maximum) There was a girl there who was TOTALLY trashed and she came up to me and my bf and said, "OH you guys are the CUTEST couple! How long have you been together? blah blah.." and then, she said, "You love her don't you?" And my heart kind of jumped because I mean, gawd, he's never said that he LOVES me or anything. He turned to me and kissed me and said, "OF COURSE I love her!" And THEN, he looked at me and said, "But I'm a love whore. I love everybody." And I left the room to go cry in a corner. Pathetic little me. My best friend Shara was there and I told her what was wrong, so she went up to him and said, "Listen, Adria REALLY likes you, and she gets her feelings hurt REALLY EASILY, so DON'T do anything to hurt her and BE NICE to her." And he said, "Shara, I feel REALLY strongly about Adria, I wouldn't do anything to hurt her. I've been looking for her all night! Where is she??" Crying over you, dumbass. Is he being a jackass or does he just not care about me like I do about him?? Love Adria
Huntr777 Posted January 3, 2005 Posted January 3, 2005 It sounds like a combination of being drunk and trying to be funny at the same time...which of course is not a good mix. It sounds like he really hurt your feelings, and maybe you should *gently* point that out to him. Tell him that what he said, even though he probably thought it was funny, you took as a very insensitive comment. At least that's what girls have said to me after I opened my mouth and stuck my foot all the way in. Hunter

No excuse for it but too late now to take it back. "Shara, I feel REALLY strongly about Adria, I wouldn't do anything to hurt her. I've been looking for her all night! Where is she??" OK. He does have feelings for you...Even though he did say he loved you, he RIGHT there said he has strong feelings.
Pocky Posted January 3, 2005 Posted January 3, 2005 Sounds like he was acting the way people act when they're drunk. My husband can be a real ass when he's drunk. I generally ignore him - actually I am generally telling him to STFU because he's making himself look like an ass. Then I ignore him.
Cecelius Posted January 5, 2005 Posted January 5, 2005 This was a very small negative hit, and frankly, its a little humorous. Basically, at worst he was being a smart alec, at best he does like or love you (first part of the drunken comment). He got faced by a knucklehead girl at a party. Should he have dropped to one knee? He's probably head over heels about you, but only 3 months may not be the time to reveal all, especially not under those circumstances.
