Based on my own experience its time to imagine your life is not going to be with him...at least not in the way you want and you want to be # 1 in his life ! So dont settle for anything less than the best treatment, behavior and terms. Now tomorrow it may feel differently but the next day it waffles. Dont be the one who gets played with ... I would put some distance between him.....I am a very positive person but unless he does something dramatic , I think its best to let go....

Soooo he told his EXW tonite that he is seeing me Yay! We had a good conversation.. upbeat, positive.. said he wants me to feel comfortable calling him any time.. I don't know if he's going to be in my life always... we haven't been dating that long.. and I'm not down for getting married again either.. BUT for right now.. I do like spending time with him, he has told me before that he is working on his things, he knows I'm working on mine.. and he has said that WE will work on things together.. This isn't life or death here.. and that's what I've got to keep in mind.. If it doesn't work out, then it doesn't work out.. I've been through far worse.

He called me yesterday after he got off work.. we had talked the night before about me meeting his little people.. so he asked me if I wanted to go to dinner with him and his kids. I said yes.. so we decided that we would meet up at a restaurant close to where I live.. Went to the restaraunt and saw him sitting there with his wee people.. I sat down and he introduced me to them. His daughter is beautiful.. she looks just like her Dad.. and his son.. OMG he is a little doll! Josh had ordered for me before I got there (he had called me to find out what I wanted) so we talked while we waited for our food. His kids are good kids.. his daughter (whos 9) was testing her Dad a little.. LOL just normal kid things. When we were done eating he asked me if I could come over to his house.. so I went to his house. He told me when he got his kids out to the car he asked his daughter what she thought.. she told him she liked me.. yay! His son is only 2.. LOL so yeah ya know he likes everyone I think that's nice to him. Got to his house and his daughter showed me her puppy.. his son wanted to chill with me on the sofa and flirt! LOL He is sooooooooo damn cute! His son went to bed about 20 minutes after we got home and his daughter went to her room to put together something she had got for Christmas. We sat in the Kitchen and talked.. always good conversation... His daughter went to bed late.. then he asked me to stay over with him.. he has to work today so we would be up early.. He told me last night "Thank you for everything tonite" I said for what? He said for meeting my kids and coming over.. I told him it had been my pleasure. He then told me that he hoped I understood what a big deal this was for him... I am the only girl he has introduced to his kids at all. Then he told me that him introducing me to his kids was letting me know that he isn't going anywhere and he hopes I'm not either.. he said that he knows we have things to work out but he is trying and he wants to work those things out.. he asked me not to go away and to be patient with him... We talked about going to Mexico in February for a few days together... So.. uuuggghhhhh Merin is very smitten! Money doesn't mean anything to me... He takes care of himself and his wee people and is polite and considerate in always paying for all our dates and things.. I take care of myself and my wee people and I learned a long time ago when I was married.. that money doesn't make you happy and it doesn't replace good feelings for a person... Sooooooooooo thats my update today you guys! I get the feeling as of right now that we are going to work on things... and he isn't going anywhere without me... I can only hope that things will get better from here and we will work on this.. because I do believe he is worth it.

I'm soooo happy for you after reading this...all I can say is, he sounds like he's trying ALL he can NOT to fall back into the type of relationship he had with his ex! I think he's an okay guy... ALL men/women have their flaws so as long as he's made his intentions clear (which he sounds like he has very CLEAR that he wants to make it work with you) then I think it could really work out! Yeah for you girl!
