organizedchaos Posted December 13, 2013 Posted December 13, 2013 ...but didn't. Today was one of those days where I got some news that I would have naturally shared with her but I did not break NC. Right after we broke up I got picked up for a dui but I knew it was bs because I only had two drinks. I knew I was borderline legally, but didn't matter according to the law. This happened right after we bu and while we were lc so she knew all about it and also thought it was bs. Well finally, 4 months later I learn today that the case was rejected because sure enough, it was bs and it was decided it was not worth pursuing. This is something I naturally would have wanted to share with her. But I am strict NC with her now. Sucks bc id like to share this good news with her and let her know the outcome of the case. But I won't. So I'm sharing it with you all instead. 5

headinthecloud Posted December 13, 2013 Posted December 13, 2013 You're doing amazing! Congrats. Stay strong.
InnocentMan Posted December 13, 2013 Posted December 13, 2013 You're proud of being borderline legally sober while driving a car? Wow.
JDPT Posted December 13, 2013 Posted December 13, 2013 Your ex does not deserve to know about you or your dealings. And slow down on the drinking, it will only exacerbate your current state. 1
Author organizedchaos Posted December 13, 2013 Author Posted December 13, 2013 You're proud of being borderline legally sober while driving a car? Wow. Being borderline "legally" sober from 2 drinks is a far cry from driving drunk. That's like two glasses of wine at dinner. Dont act all high and mighty like you've never done it. That's not the point of this thread anyway.

And slow down on the drinking, it will only exacerbate your current state. Again, it was two drinks, of wine. Which is why it was Bs. It wasn't like I downed a bottle of vodka and got behind the wheel.

I had a friend killed by a drunk driver so dont act its not a big deal. And its not a far cry in the slightest. Not the point of the thread, but something that needs to be said. As mentioned, your ex wouldnt have cared anyways. I can imagine she would have said "oh thats nice" or didnt answer. Neither of which would have helped. 1

And yes, even just two drinks with this experience was enough to never put myself in that situation again.
fixing Posted December 13, 2013 Posted December 13, 2013 Bless you sir. Bless you. Im delighted the bastards dropped the case. You did the right thing. You dont need to share anything with her, ever again. She simply doesnt have the right anymore to be involved in your life.
