irc333 Posted December 12, 2013 Posted December 12, 2013 Funny, as the online dating personal ads and the mad hunt for dates skyrocket during the holidays....so often I"m hearing people use the holidays as an excuse to never have time to meet up with someone. Anyone ever notice that?
BikerAccnt Posted December 12, 2013 Posted December 12, 2013 Actually yes, at least from my point of view. It's why i'm on a dating hiatus till after the holiday's. Too much else going on anyway. Not going to add to the stress.
hotpotato Posted December 12, 2013 Posted December 12, 2013 Some people just dont want to date around the holidays. Holidays involve a lot of gift giving. Some people dont want to deal with that while dating someone new. You're right, it is an excuse.
Emilia Posted December 12, 2013 Posted December 12, 2013 If I like someone, I like someone. I don't care whether it's January, February, March, April, May, June, July, August, September, October, November or December. If he cared I would think it was all a bit tragic and I would lose interest.
PegNosePete Posted December 12, 2013 Posted December 12, 2013 What does it matter what excuse they use? If it wasn't the holidays then it would be lack of money, busy with other things, got a cold, washing my hair, getting her canary waxed, the weather, her granny's funeral, whatever. Anything except "yes" means "no" so just move onto the next.
