This statement is in specific reference to business situations, but he/she has also said it about life in general. What kind of conclusions can be drawn from this?

What kind of conclusions can be drawn from this? I don't draw any conclusions because what one person's perceived strengths may be another person's perceived weakness. And neither may or may not mean anything to me.
carhill Posted December 11, 2013 Posted December 11, 2013 While specifics and industry-relevant dynamics can vary, few people become successful by being weak or showing weakness. In my industry, heavy industrial, mostly male dominated and blue collar, showing weakness, even incidentally, is the kiss of death. One can certainly speak softly as long as one has the reputation of backing up their soft talk with a big stick, whether that be personally, competitively or legally. I rarely run into people who actually speak the words in your quote. Their actions send all the message one needs to discern. Talking (about such matters) is generally for folks in the white collar industries. YMMV.
