Hattie Posted December 11, 2013 Posted December 11, 2013 At some point over the summer, I met my husband at work for his lunch hour. We went out for a bite and when I took him back to work, he asked that I not drop him off at the door, but rather out in the parking lot. It struck me as strange, but I have a tendency to be a little insecure. But...a few years ago he was working at a different facility within his current company. There was a female that was always trying to hook-up with my husband....I saw her and she was not pretty or attractive at all. Slutty/trashy,missing most of her teeth and not what I would consider his type. After he got transferred to his new location he got a text message from a prior co worker (guy) making reference to how my husband "did" that female coworker in the warehouse at work! I saw the text because it came through while I was using his phone. I didn't mention the text right away because I was seeing if he would. He never did, so I told him I saw it and of course he said it was just guys razzing guys. He works nights sometimes and this morning he was 45 minutes late from work and came right in and took a shower. He said he had to stay and "help out". Paranoid?
John-Dough Posted December 11, 2013 Posted December 11, 2013 (edited) I don't know, but taking a shower after work - doesn't seem that unusual to me. Late 45 minutes also seems not atypical. And - the text message from the guy, definitely sounds like razzing - that type of comment is so typical, especially from your description of the woman. JMO Also, getting dropped in parking lot instead of front door could have been because he wanted to take some time walking in and gather his thoughts - or whatever. Razzing from another guy about a very unattractive woman missed her teeth - Normal Shower after working late - Normal Getting dropped off in the parking lot - Mmm not sure sure. I know I sometimes did this with my STBXW at one place I worked at. I would actually do it because I hated some of the people there and actually wanted to protect my STBXW from having to deal with them. My honest opinion, these aren't red flags all on their own. But don't doubt yourself if you think something is funny. Ask him what was up with getting dropped off so far away from the door. Don't feel bad for being vigilant. I know I wish I would have paid more attention to signs when they were popping up infront of me.
