Author SameOldFear Posted January 19, 2014 Author Posted January 19, 2014 Hi, here's an update: News spreads fast at my place of employment, so by today when I came in mostly everyone knew. A few of them know what happened to him and I, and support me and aren't his friend. One of the few actually went to my manager and told her about everything and now my manager definitely plans on not following up with her or hiring her. I feel kind of bad about preventing someone from getting job, but at the same time I'm kind of touched by how much support I'm getting from my co workers and even here on this forum. I'm getting to a point where I'm beginning to see him for who he actually is (or maybe who he turned into?) and it's not the person I thought I got to know. Each and every day I realize I'm worth so much more than him and he can't pull me down because my life was and still is wonderful without him, he was just lucky enough to be a part of it for a little while. 1
TaraMaiden Posted January 19, 2014 Posted January 19, 2014 You didn't prevent anyone from getting a job. One of your colleagues explained the situation to your boss, and she made a decision, based on common sense and good business practice. Don't put crap in your drinking water. You're fine. I suggest however, that you remain discreet and dignified, and really rise above these shenanigans, and now look ahead, leave this behind, and focus on doing your job well.
