pinkttulips Posted December 9, 2013 Posted December 9, 2013 There is a guy that I'm interested in, he works where I do, but in a different area of the building, we see each other in passing. I went to HS with him a long time ago. (back in the 80's). He went through a divorce earlier this yr. Was on my facebook along with some others from school for about 3 yrs. His ex-wife was one of his friends. Him and I emailed just a couple times back then, nothing romantic/flirty type thing though. So, anyways, back a few months ago, I noticed that he blocked me. BUT, he was still being smiley, nice, etc.. at work, like it didnt happen. So my thought is this... and maybe its just wishful thinking, I dont know, that's why I want to know what you guys think. So, I'm thinking that his ex-wife got a hold of his phone and blocked me without his knowledge. Either that or he himself did it, but if that is the case, why would he be all smiley like it didnt even happen?
Author pinkttulips Posted December 9, 2013 Author Posted December 9, 2013 Does anyone have any thoughts on this?
CarrieT Posted December 9, 2013 Posted December 9, 2013 Why are you putting so much energy into thinking about someone else's online activity vs. how they treat in real life? You said you went to HS in the 80s? You sound like the 20-somethings who live and die by FB. If he is the age that I think you guys are, he may not even be that savvy with the whole social network thing.
Author pinkttulips Posted December 9, 2013 Author Posted December 9, 2013 You have a good point there. BUT, I am picky choosy who I allow to be on my friends list... I am not one of those who just adds anyone just to show that I am popular like some do. It's sort of like an extension of my life outside of FB. So you're telling me that if someone blocked you, that you would not be bothered by it? If I had a whole lot of people on mine and I didnt' know them, then yeah, I could care less, but that is not the case for me. I was just wondering if maybe he was being two faced/ pretending. Or maybe something else happened.
