Usually after work I visit this small fastfood restuarant and they gotten a new staff-member who I later learn is named Anna. Over these last three months she started to get very flirtatious and I said to myself that I found it cute that an 18 year old girl who want to flirt with a 32 year old guy(who she didn't know outside of work). So one day one of her female colleague by chance is on-board the same bus I use to get to and from work, and she sits down in the seat in front of me and says hi. After a few minutes she turns around and then she says "I think I should tell you, but you know, Anna, she has said she is very much into you". After which we talked a bit and she told how cute Anna had said to her that she thought I was etc etc. The bus the reached my stop and said got have a nice day to that other chick who works with Anna. I then thought, cool and then I should say something to Anna the next time I saw her(just for fun of it). So then the next day after work I visited the same Fastfood place, Anna was extremely flirtious towards me because there were no other customers around at that time, and then I said to eat. Then I hear the young women who work at the place talk about relationships and I hear Anna say "Me and my boyfriend Thomas we have together since October of last year" and I could see that her colleague who had told what Anna had said to her about me, she got the look in her eye that Anna had just dropped a bombshell or something like that. (Note: When I went to College and later University, I have burned my hands before with women who were extremely flirtious and really gave the signal "I want to have sex with etc". But who then I said something had the comment "It was joke and I have boyfriend".) So I made the plan, that next time I saw Anna I would drop a bombshell first. The weeks past and there was no Anna, and I thought maybe she had moved onto an other job. But yesterday she was there and we talked and I said "Hey, haven't seen you for a while" and she responded "Haven't had that many shifts but I haven't seen you for a while either". I then said "I have been busy with work and I have been also visiting my long distance gf who lives in so and so city, and I am going to visit her after Christmas too". Then Anna's smile stiffened and she wouldn't look me in the eyes and then she handed my receipt she almost looked entirely to the right, insteed of directly into my eyes, how she used to do. I wasn't in love with her or anything like that, but I would like to understand her reaction. Was she surprised and angered because I beat her to a probable insult? By that I mean that I was able to say first "Hey it has been fun, but I have a girlfriend". And she wasn't able to do something similar me? Or what do guys and girls think? d0nnivain Posted December 8, 2013 Posted December 8, 2013 I think she's an 18 year old child who behaved in a childish manner. You are a grown man. What's your excuse? There was no need for you to "drop a bombshell" first, especially if your was a lie. People in the hospitality industry flirt with the customers. It's a way of getting a bigger tip. It didn't mean anything. There was nothing between you so what difference does it make if she has a BF or if you have a LDR? 2
