ShyGuy5 Posted December 3, 2013 Posted December 3, 2013 I have went through every possible situation. I saw this girl the other day and missed my opportunity. Everything was set up perfectly and I chickened out. In the event that I do see her again, how should I approach it. I thought about trying to start casual conversation, but what if I never see her again after that. I passed by her on the way to class. If I do see her again, I expect to be in a time crunch as well, which wouldn't allow me to continue to conversation on for a while, if the same situation presents itself again. Do I ask her for her number right away. I have thought about this for a long time and there are so many lines that you have to straddle. You don't want to be too forward and scare her off or not be proactive enough and let her get away. You don't want to sound corny, but you want her to know that she intrigues you. The worst part about my over thinking is now I am paralyzed and just let life pass me by afraid to anything.
Philosoraptor Posted December 3, 2013 Posted December 3, 2013 Well it seems you have your issue down. So what are you afraid of? What's the worst thing that happens if she's not interested? You're in the same place you are now, but without the burden of this girl on your mind. Then after you know she's off the table you can move on and talk to another girl. But if she says yes you've got yourself a date. What's to stress about? You've got everything to gain and nothing to lose by talking to her.
elbe Posted December 3, 2013 Posted December 3, 2013 Girls are wicked smart. She was waiting for it and watched you chicken out. You might have already blown it - but next time just try to get her number. Or just talk to her. You might feel more comfortable if you've never said two words to her. Who knows, maybe she's deaf blind and dumb. How would you ever know?
d0nnivain Posted December 3, 2013 Posted December 3, 2013 I went to one of the largest universities in the world. As long as she didn't graduate or transfer out, you will see her next semester so stop thinking you have a deadline.
