rweb7 Posted December 2, 2013 Posted December 2, 2013 I'm 19 and she's 18, and we've been dating for over a month now. Things are great, we talk all the time, we cuddle, hug, laugh, etc. She's coming over next Friday and also Saturday. But i would like to get serious, and become her boyfriend. When should I bring up "the talk"? I'm a bit confused on how to play this. Thank you in advance for your opinions/experiences!
d0nnivain Posted December 2, 2013 Posted December 2, 2013 You can bring it up whenever. It's always best to clarify exclusivity before sex.
unbeknown Posted December 2, 2013 Posted December 2, 2013 I've always found that it just sort of happens. No one really needs to bring up 'the talk'. Do you feel a strong connection? A month seems kind of a short time but I understand everyone has different life experiences and if you're seeing each other often it's always nice to be open and honest. If you're not having sex yet but are about to get intimate maybe bring it up along the lines of you're not seeing anyone else and would expect the same from her? I don't know. I'm no pro but I was in a simialr position to you and even though we'd had sex a few times I wanted to tell her I'm not prepared to keep on sleeping with her if she's dating other people. She accepted that. Good luck!
