map2 Posted December 30, 2004 Posted December 30, 2004 Ok other day I went ahead and told this girl my feelings for her while she had her away message on. how the situation is which i'm not gonna get into.. I decided to do it this way so it's less pressure and not putting her on the spot. anyway a day or 2 later it was a few minutes after I got on,she turned her away message on which said..... Count my blessings I should count my blessings Let me see where should I start One, you're really handsome Two, you're really handsome Three, I never get that far Yeah you're right I don't deserve you Yeah there's no pleasing me, yeah sure You could have anyone you want You're too good to be real You're every woman's dream Lucky me....... " she only kept it like that for a minute or so. to you all of you what could a quote like that mean to you? thanks
HokeyReligions Posted December 30, 2004 Posted December 30, 2004 Not knowing what your message said to her, if this is directed at you it would seem she likes you and is happy that you like her. Did you say something to her about not being able to please her? Or has she said to you that she feels she doesn't deserve you?
Author map2 Posted December 30, 2004 Author Posted December 30, 2004 HokeyReligions, well most that I told her in that message that I miss her and wish I could see her..know that finishing college and starting a career is more important. said i'd wait how ever long it takes to be with her. all I care about right now is for her to be happy. stuff like that.
HokeyReligions Posted December 30, 2004 Posted December 30, 2004 Why can't you see her? Do you live far apart? Hard to tell from a text message -- why not call her? Some people can make a LDR work. If you are going off to college though it might be best to just casually date and not make any commitments. Experience life first -- both of you -- and maybe someday you can meet up again and see if your feelings are the same. That happens too - that people who care about each other have to break up and years later find each other again and both are happy and confident because they have experienced life and are ready to make a commitment to each other.
Devildog Posted December 30, 2004 Posted December 30, 2004 Personally, I sense a sarcastic tone in the poem. Blessings one and two are "handsome", and can't come up with a third blessing. The second paragraph just sounds flat out spiteful, like you think you are too good for her or anyone else, that you think you are God's gift to women or something. Sorry, just the impression I got reading it. Did you have issues with her leaving for college? Fight about it, break up maybe?
