mattboltz Posted November 29, 2013 Posted November 29, 2013 I have been texting this girl for the last 2 and a half weeks. She always replies to me usually fairly quickly. Even when she is busy she texts me back. We planned to go out last week but she backed out due to something coming up. I know its just an excuse, but we don't know each other well so maybe she didn't want to feel uncomfortable. Anyways, I called her on wednesday and asked her out this weekend. She called me back like 30 minutes later, but I was busy and was not able to get back to her for another 2 and a half hours. I left her a message, and told her to call me back again. Since yesterday was thanksgiving I understand her not getting back to me, but no text or anything? Im confused. Does she want me to call her again, or should I let it go? I feel like she is on the fence. Any suggestions? Thanks
elbe Posted November 29, 2013 Posted November 29, 2013 You are both probably over thinking things. She may feel burned by the no answer when she called / 2.5hr delay - especially if she responds when she is busy. Use text to initiate a planned phone call to discuss plans. Damned technology.
Author mattboltz Posted November 29, 2013 Author Posted November 29, 2013 How would you go about that kind of text?
winny Posted November 29, 2013 Posted November 29, 2013 I think you should be getting back to her instead of leaving her a message to call you back. Please give her a call and ask her out.
elbe Posted November 29, 2013 Posted November 29, 2013 How would you go about that kind of text? "Give me a call when you get a chance :)"
winny Posted November 29, 2013 Posted November 29, 2013 "Give me a call when you get a chance :)" I think he already did that...
elbe Posted November 29, 2013 Posted November 29, 2013 I think he already did that... Nah, he's got to get her on the phone and ask her out. They've both been busy but the recent holiday is over. It's both confrontational but not aggressive. If she doesn't respond at all to that - forget about it. If she won't call and will only text, well then just text her out.. but on the actual voice phone is better. Makes it harder to say no.
happywithlife Posted November 29, 2013 Posted November 29, 2013 You can text her that you would like to call her and was wonderig when a good time to call would be. That way you can avoid the phone tag. Would also include a hope ypu had a good thanksgiving in the text too
