Okay, I'm aware this doesn't happen 99% of the time... Most the time you'll see a photo of your ex and their new person and feel like rubbish, but I've just seen a full body photo of mine with his new girlfriend and I laughed...

 

I didn't realise how much taller than him she is. In the Instagram photos I could only see her face. He's a very small framed man and very short. He's about 5'5. This girl must be 5'8 at least. I am tiny and only 5'2 so we looked fine together.

 

But they look ridiculous. He actually looks like he could be her son. Massive step forward seeing this for me! Seeing this has made me feel unattracted to him.

I'm happy that you felt better after seing the picture, but I hate when girls talk like this. I'm about 5'8", and my ex is 5'10". You can imagine how it looked when she wore heels.

 

After a while I began to think that this was rather cool. Most people expect hot, tall girls to go for even taller guys. We were different.

 

But nevertheless, I still hate when people make fun of me because of my height, because it's something I can't control. If you think about it, it's not really that different from making fun of someone for having a different skin color.

I REALLY hope my reply to her didn't offend you!!!

I was happy for her that she felt better about seeing them together and it didn't crush her. I swear it had NOTHING (for me anyway) to do with the height issue.

 

 

The man I am so broken over is 5'5" and to me he is "perfect" I'm 5'6" and never even thought twice about it.

 

 

Okay well, he's not perfect (obviously) but physically, I would take him over a "tall" guy ANY day!! I guess that's just what I like :D

Height was never an issue for me with my ex. I was very much in love with him and would have picked him any day over a tall guy.

 

But he broke my heart, lied, and probably cheated on me, so I can't help but feel happy seeing an unflattering picture of him with her.

 

Don't feel insecure about your height. 5'8 is perfectly fine for a guy.

Exactly!!

Not sure why but I have always liked stalky guys about my height. I think it's hot.. . . . Just different tastes I guess. Thank God, or we would all be after the same guy :D

Im 5 11, my ex was a very tall girl and towered over me in heels

 

it didnt bother either of us so dont worry about it

I hate him for breaking my heart, but I still keep putting him on a pedestal and keep thinking that he is a sexy beast of a man. This photo shows me the reality - he isn't a sexy beast at all.

 

So should I look at it daily, or once every few days? I'm asking because I know many on here advice us to not look at photos of our ex as it can prevent us from healing and getting over it.

I wish it was that easy. :laugh:

 

Unfortunately my ex was very charming, confident and charismatic, and that made him very attractive.

 

He does have an old man's body though and got out of breath whenever he gave me a piggy back! So I keep reminding myself that and how he wouldn't be able to protect me if we ever got attacked in the street.

Fair enough. Maybe it's a turn on for my ex too. Whatever does it for him I guess.

 

Whenever I look at this photo though I get so turned off. She towers above him and he looks like a 12 year old boy. He doesn't look manly or desirable, and definitely not someone I should be pining over.

 

The more I look at it the more I wonder what on earth I'm still doing on LS. I was going to read a bunch of threads in bed tonight like to do every night to help me deal with my pain but suddenly I don't feel the need to.

Haha , this like exactly like my story. My ex took pic with this girl on halloween , i don't think they are dating. But their pic was very similar like yours. She is like big , fat and over grown women. she is even taller than him. With her , he looks like baby. Its like ant is standing next to elephant :laugh:. He looks hideous with her. We looked perfect together and he knows it. We both are gym freak and very fit. She is completely opposite of his taste haha. Well , while seeing i was hurt though but later learned that they aren't dating and now i am like whatever. But kudos to your ability of taking it other way and laughing on it ..
