Happy Thanksgiving Love Shack Friends. Spend the day giving thanks with friends and family. There is more to the big picture than a significant other.

Happy thanksgiving to you all as well...keep your chin up...holidays are tough, lean on your families and friends. If you don't have any...get yourself "turkey wasted!!"

Just had TG lunch with my mom and her husband. Was not expecting the grief that overcame me after I sat down at the table. I was doing fine until that point and then came the tears.

Me too, Shannon. :( These things are bound to creep up around the holidays...I know, for me, it's still waaaaay too new for me to be able to look at this all in a happy light. I was so looking forward to these holidays as a married couple, instead of that lone single. Sigh. Just gotta get through this and be happy for what we DO have, though that's easier said than done ( especially when everyone seems to be coupled up and so damn happy). Here's to recognizing things aren't great this year, and having hope that they will be better than imagined for the next!

50% of all the smiling couples are probably miserable. I started looking at their faces when I am out and about.

TrappedWanderer: I guess for those of us that are mending our hearts we will huddle here on this forum during the holiday time to remind ourselves that, like you said, it may be tough now but next year will be better than we imagined. Thank goodness for the internet and places like this to soothe the soul.

Perhaps next year's ambitions are a good thing to focus on as we wrap up this year...what we want to create to make sure next year is what we want. :)
