Ohh yea all is cool. She even rents hotel rooms for me and my new girl at a super low rates thru her job.

Going thru that pain early on really helped me kill all hope and made my recovery easier. I NEVER broke NC until i was over it. I was hard core.

Right after the BU i told her NEVER to contact me again unless she was in a car accident or dying and even then to ge help elswhere. hahaha. There was no communication after that except a bday email she sent me that i didnt respond to.

It is all ancient history. I just chatted with her last night. There is no hurt left and even her betrayal and lies right at the end of the RS about the new guy she was planning on dumping me for are all water under the bridge.

Time and NC performs miracles!!!.

I have known her like 14 years. 8 RS. So i always expected at some point to be on good terms with her once i was recovered. But up to that point i wanted her to explode and burst into flames!!!! lo :) Rock on! Cav

PS this was me lat November in horrible shape. There is hope!!

Whoa! You guys were together a long time. She's over it enough to pay for you and your current girlfriend!?! Holy crap. I'm surprised to be honest. But that's awesome you guys are mature enough to be friends. I haven't been in NC with my ex for about half a year now, I plan not to be FOR A YEAR OR TWO. OR MORE… NEVER MIGHT BE THE BEST FOR US. I feel like we can get back on good terms, we are not the type of people to argue and get wild. We are both really down to earth people. I have known my ex for about 14 years too. 5 years RS.

I couldnt agree more about FB, the day we split up by the time i was home she had removed our pics etc and changed status to single (but removed the story feed)

I found myself fixating on the 'single' thing as if a bloody fb status is what matters!

And obsessively checking her gallery just looking at her piccies

So i removed her - and she didnt like it at all.. which just showed me how disproportionately important fb is to people...an emotional split, and she is worried about fb!

Having said that i guess we are odd for a split up couple, 3 weeks post BU she hadnt told anyone about the split, we talk every night for an hour or so, and.. both of us have said we dont feel single...

Anyway FB - wish it didnt exist a lot of the time, it caused issues in the past as well

Blocked the ex. Got a boyfriend. Maybe when I'm single lol.

I just think you need to spend more time with your boyfriend and less time thinking about your ex and your ex friend. It isn't fair to your boyfriend. You are cheating emotionally and it is setting you back instead of moving you forward. You can bet they are moving on with their lives. They aren't worth your brain space.

Well she dumped me so she was over it pretty much immediatly. hahaha she doesnt pay for the room. i still need to pay she just gets me the great rate! No..nobody is jealous.

The funny thing is she told me that she is falling out of love with her bf. They dont spend time together (he doesnt make her a priority) and she doesnt see future with him as things are now. He is very conservstive and somewhat cold unlike me.

I would have been jumping for joy at her misery before. Or i would have viewed this as a opportunity to get her back. Now i dont view it this way at all. Just a little sad for her.

I had hoped it worked out with this.guy for her. Still do. She wants to get married have baby ecetera and she thought he was the guy. Anyway..not my problem. I need to worry about my new RS :) Cav

Yes, I have a bf(almost four months now) I know it sounds weird but by the time we agreed to be bf/gf, he told me he told everyone back home that he found the girl of his dreams and his girlfriend (aka me before he even asked me to be his) I didn't find this out until AFTER we became bf/gf.

My ex was such a huge part of my life, so its hard to forget someone who gave you so much to remember. My bf knows I'm struggling to get over my ex 100 percent and he's been very supportive. We also talked about how we're still seeing how things are going between us…

PLUS he lives in another country (long distance relationship) so its hard

It's absolutely normal to be in a healthy loving relationship right now but still feel haunted by your previous relationships, especially if there's been a lot of trauma that you haven't dealt with.

I've been in a serious, mature relationship for almost 7 years, but like an idiot I kept in touch with a dude I met 10 years ago because he'd friendzoned me and we both hoped we could be platonic again. I never really dealt with the crappy way he treated me and was so devoid of self-esteem I realised I had been shrugging off my heartache for YEARS.

It took a really good girlfriend of mine to see what a fool I was being even considering this jackass as a friend. It's day 12 of NC and I feel awesome, if only for 'taking the power back'.

To reiterate what a previous person said however, I couldn't 100% devote my energy to my current relationship while the ghost of an unrequited love loomed over it. Doesn't make us bad people though...just human :)

Any guy that has a Facebook, Pinterest and Instagram account should promptly turn in their Man Card.
