feelingtorn Posted November 26, 2013 Posted November 26, 2013 Mine is Lola Versus. If you are a woman, this is a must-watch movie after BU. It tells all the things you should not do after BU.
Kevin_D Posted November 26, 2013 Posted November 26, 2013 I guess that you mean movies about break-ups, but if you have been dumped recently, I would suggest watching something really, really stupid, such as The Naked Gun, Airplane!, Hot Shots! or Johnny English. These movies make me laugh even when I feel like crap. I can't stand watching movies about break-ups even if they are supposed to be feel-good movies.
Author feelingtorn Posted November 26, 2013 Author Posted November 26, 2013 Forgetting Sarah Marshall. Ha. I watched it a year ago and thought to myself, "what a dumb movie." After BU, my gf invited me over to her house for girls night and she insisted I should watch it again. Oh my god, I laughed and cried. It was gooood. I highly recommend it too. It helps you realize that your ex does not deserve you. There is someone better out there for you.
LostConfused123 Posted November 26, 2013 Posted November 26, 2013 Someone Like You Another "there is someone better and you will get over this" comedy
greenfairie Posted November 26, 2013 Posted November 26, 2013 500 Days of Summer, Bridget Jones' Diary, Eternal Sunshine of The Spotless Mind, The Break-Up, Jerry Maguire, All The Real Girls(Zooey Deschanel), Notting Hill(Julia Roberts), First Wives Club (amazing classic I can watch again from time to time), He's Just Not That into You… I'm a film junkie, so I'll come up with more if I think of any There's also google, you can just type in best breakup movies and you'll get some of my suggestions too Breakup movies - AskMen 1
AnyaNova Posted November 26, 2013 Posted November 26, 2013 (edited) Actually, I seem to go a little apocalyptic. Terminator Children of Men Various horror flicks. Basically anything that has minimal love plots or subplots. And I mean, come on, imagine being able to be as kick ass as Sarah Connor, or being able to help keep the worlds first baby in 20 years safe. :-) And heck, if Sarah Connor can handle multiple terminators and a grim future where her son has to save humanity, surely I can fix my makeup cause its just a breakup and surely I can handle a crazy little relational end, right? Good point!! Sometimes I like to watch the ones with absolutely NO love scenes or romance. I personally like The Rocky movies and Rambo Rocky because I feel hopeful and empowered for lack of a better word and Rambo cause he looked so Damn good in those when he's all mad and sweaty. HAHA HAHA!!!!! 1
