mendsley Posted November 26, 2013 Posted November 26, 2013 I caught the flu the other day and since I cannot train, my mood has been a little low. Plus my son is headed to his mothers house for two weeks so I'm not looking forward to that. Not sure what my deal is, but I've been thinking of the ex more than I should. I see something on TV and it triggers a memory and I start thinking of her. I hate that I am acting like this, I've been doing sooo well with everything and BAM I get sick. I hope this passes
fixing Posted November 26, 2013 Posted November 26, 2013 It definitely will pass man. Im guessing you work out/train regularly and without that those natural endorphin's that are usually being released through exercise are not keeping you on an even keel atm. Plus the Flu of course never helps. Just wrap up with a hot chocolate and sling on your favourite film man, anything to take your mind off your ex!
Author mendsley Posted November 26, 2013 Author Posted November 26, 2013 Thanks fixing, I need to take my Prozac a little early tonight, lol. Being sick and heart broken is a jacked up deal.
Author mendsley Posted November 26, 2013 Author Posted November 26, 2013 So I just received a call from a friend who perked me up a bit. What's sad is he did mention the ex, which is fine, but he told me she took her dog to the pound. This is a VERY bizzare move on her part. She almost left me because she said I was mean to the dog. I was never mean, I just set some boundries. The dog had a skin issue and would bleed and scab all over the place and I didn't want that **** on the couch... WTF was I thinking, lol. She must be going through some weird ****, but hey... this is what she wanted. Don't call my ass when you wake up, LOL! I have to admit I am a little sad she did that, he was a good little dog. If he didn't have that ****ed up skin issue I would go pick his ass up. Maybe a little friend is what I need right now.
AnyaNova Posted November 26, 2013 Posted November 26, 2013 Thanks fixing, I need to take my Prozac a little early tonight, lol. Being sick and heart broken is a jacked up deal. I think this would have been before you really started posting here, but a week after our (the ex and I) last meeting in September, I got bronchitis and was sick for about three-ish weeks! Be really careful with yourself, don't make the same mistakes I did, true they weren't helped by the hefty druggy hydrocodone cough syrup that either knocks me out or makes me too dopey to do anything, but anyway, I know you're son isn't there and I know you're feeling raunchy, but to the best of your ability , make yourself a sick day boot camp schedule. Wake up, shower, eat, watch fun movie, nap, do light push ups leaning on the counter until exhausted, make tea, read book etc. You are clearly creative and resourceful! So use these skills to make your abbreviated schedule. The only other thing that I would add, is getting a b complex and if you really want to go above and beyond a b12, and take one every day, at least until you are better. When you're body gets stressed by anything it goes through the b's really fast. When your b'a get low, mood tends to follow. When your mood gets low your brain will cast around to find a reason. It wil land on an ex! I could be all wet, but I suspect a minimal b vitamin depletion could be contributing. Take it from me, b vitamin deficiency girl (until I discovered the beautiful miracle of b vitamin shots!), if there is more gravy than grave to your woes (or coalbumin deficiency or whatever) to your sadness, pop the pill. It is so much better than being stuck in a brain created twilight zone, where you are sent back weeks in your recovery! But back to boot camp, mister! Even if it is Sick day bootcamp! p.s. please post your sick day boot camp schedule. A) I can't wait to see what you come up with, B) I seem to get an annual case of bronchitis. Could use some good ideas for this! :-) 3
Author mendsley Posted November 26, 2013 Author Posted November 26, 2013 (edited) Thanks Anya you're awesome, I'm taking tomorrow off and starting my boot camp back up on Wednesday. As for a sick schedul3, no weights. I will resort to the classics. Pushup, dragon-flys, situps, dips, air squats and simple walking. I looove cooking so my friend and I are cooking up some serious amounts of Thanksgiving food, but we wont eat any of it. We are going down to the local church to find a family in need. It will make everyone feel good :-) For us Americans who has never heard of Banoffee pie look that **** up. I have a friend from London and she taught me how to make it. It's been labeled Mike's Pie from my friends cause I make it all the time and I wont tell them the actual name, lol. So sshhhhhh don't let my secret out! Edited November 26, 2013 by mendsley 2
GeneralJennyJenn Posted November 26, 2013 Posted November 26, 2013 Allow yourself some slack, you're sick and its normal to miss someone during that time. Just don't be like me and let your guard down like I did a few weeks ago ugh! And that poor dog Look at it this way, its better your son not be with you when you're sick right now. By the time he gets back, you'll be in great condition! Lastly, I too look forward to seeing your 'sick' boot camp schedule

Author mendsley Posted November 26, 2013 Author Posted November 26, 2013 Who knows, I think she is losing her freaking mind. She has changed and a move like this really solidifies that fact. She treated this dog like one of her kids, she called it baby and they have a long history together. Very strange she did this, but it's her drama and she'll have to deal with it when she wakes the f*ck.
Omei Posted November 26, 2013 Posted November 26, 2013 Yeah I got the flu too, that time of year hope you feel better, I also feel low since I had a dream of my ex trying to ask for me back. Make some nice chicken noodle soup and fluff those pillows put on some fav movies! Get well soon 1
Author mendsley Posted November 27, 2013 Author Posted November 27, 2013 I'm still sick, but am able to rest without sweating and achy. For some reason I'm thinking of the ex. Maybe because it's getting closer to Thanksgiving and I'm going to be alone now, but either way I'm having a rough day.
