chief87 Posted November 22, 2013 Posted November 22, 2013 Need some advice. I broke up with a girl that I only dated for 2 months and I guess I wasn't firm enough when I did it because she still texts me everyday and mentions hanging out. She also gets mad that I never contact her or want to see her. It's funny because when we were together she treated me pretty poorly, but now she's all about me. That's because she's spoiled and is used to getting what she wants all the time-- that's not the case in this situation, I'll never date her again. There's no future between us. She's everything I don't want in the opposite sex (entitled, chasing money, loves to be mad, not nice to me or my friends). Anybody else have an issue like this before, where the other party won't move on? How do I handle this like a gentlemen?

Reminds me of the Seinfeld episode where George tries to break up with his GF, and she simply says 'no'. WTF?? Seriously though, sounds like you've already tried the 'gentleman' route and it didn't work. Now, it might be time to block her or change your number... 1

Our families are friends, so I kind of need to be respectful. Hopefully, she'll get the point. I don't want to get nasty. Just very immature, she's 22 and I'm 27.. big difference in the way we act. Thanks for the input!
Author chief87 Posted November 22, 2013 Author Posted November 22, 2013 For the sake of family peace, you might just have to keep ignoring her. Hopefully, she'll eventually get the message. I feel for you, it's extremely annoying when that happens. Yeah Some of this falls on my shoulders too. I feel like I didn't get the message across well enough because I was trying to be nice about everything. Definitely don't want to lead her on. Thanks
d0nnivain Posted November 22, 2013 Posted November 22, 2013 Ignoring her will be the best thing. At worst she will complain that you were rude. Tell your side of the story (we broke up but now she contacts me more than when we were together so I'm ignoring her) to your family & her complaints should be a non-event.
