ibleedblackandred Posted November 22, 2013 Posted November 22, 2013 Hi Everyone, I am new to the forums! I recently started seeing a guy who is 7 years younger than me. I met him through a family member of mine. He's 26 and I am 33. He's actually quite mature for his age, very well spoken and has a house and career. I am quite established in my career as well. When we met a few months ago, he thought I was 24 or 25. He has no problem with the age difference but I think I do, he's a great guy and everything is so far so good. Also this is a long distance, I live in one state and he lives in another state - an hour plane ride for either of us. Should I even care about the age difference and just go with the flow? Do you think it can work out in the long run? Or am I just wasting my time.
DrSimple Posted November 22, 2013 Posted November 22, 2013 The fact that you are questioning the age difference this much means you care, the feeling could go away or it may never leave you. I think the biggest question is not the age difference, but the long-distance aspect. Long distance just doesn't work unless you already have a long established relationship and have a specific end point for the two of you to get back in the same city. My advice would be to end things, but do what YOU feel is right in your situation as there are always exceptions to the rule. Just don't expect to be that exception.
