Gallaxia Posted November 22, 2013 Posted November 22, 2013 The other night, we were laying there (after) and he noticed I got quiet. He asked me what i was thinking and I said "nothing" that I had just zoned out because I was buzzed (we had been drinking earlier). I think he bought it. The reality is- I was having a mini-freak-out because I think I may be falling in love with him, so I panicked & a thousand thoughts were running through my mind. Background: We've been hanging out since the end of Sept. We have professional hobbies in common- so we're always talking "shop" among other "get-to-know-you"/typical things. Text 2-3x a day to say GM & hey- thought the day. We see each other anywhere from 2-3 times a week with sleepovers including 1 weekend night. And on two occasions he has made passing jokes about "us" in the future, like elderly couple, old jokes. Anyway, I don't like that I lied to him at all. Has this happened to anyone else? Is this normal?
Philosoraptor Posted November 22, 2013 Posted November 22, 2013 Haha what? How is that even a relevant lie? Everyone has said "nothing" at times when someone has asked them what they were thinking. No one wants to say "something, but I don't want to discuss it with you". Just continue to enjoy your time with him and allow you relationship to continue growing.
Confusedguy81 Posted November 22, 2013 Posted November 22, 2013 I hate when people ask me what I'm thinking. I just wish people could appreciate the occasional silence.
d0nnivain Posted November 22, 2013 Posted November 22, 2013 I think you're fine. It would have been far worse to say you were thinking about how much you like him. Everyone knows "nothing" is code for "I don't want to tell you."
DrSimple Posted November 22, 2013 Posted November 22, 2013 You are over thinking things. This guy obviously is fond of you if he is dropping hints about a future. Don't freak out, just let the emotions come in. If you love him, then love him. He likely loves you to but doesn't know how, or is afraid, to say it.
Author Gallaxia Posted November 22, 2013 Author Posted November 22, 2013 I think you're fine... You are over thinking things./QUOTE] Thanks you guys. I'm lucky I was able to play it off because this caught me completely by surprise. I'll try to keep it together.
