NHdude Posted November 21, 2013 Posted November 21, 2013 Got out of a relationship of almost a year and feeling pretty lonely. I'm a sophomore in college and would really love to find someone who'll stick around and take life seriously, isn't that why we go to college? Any ideas where to meet quality potential dates? Not gonna even entertain the thought of a party because the girls there aren't focused on the future from my experience. I'm kinda shy(sigh) so I'm not too keen on ideas. Thanks for your help!

Take some time to take care of yourself, and do what you enjoy doing. Get that yucky breakup feeling out of your system. It will take a while, but it's worth it. If you get into another relationship now, it will be a rebound to fill a void, and the girl is likely not going to be a good match for you. I know this from experience so really try to enjoy the freedom of being alone for a while.
d0nnivain Posted November 22, 2013 Posted November 22, 2013 I met most of the people I dated in college at parties. Not everybody goes to college looking to find their life partner. Some people just want to have fun & think about the future after they graduate & get jobs. If you don't like the pickings at the parties, look around your classes, join a group the interests you, play a sport, look down the hall in your dorm or apartment complex, get a part time job, go to church, volunteer somewhere. I wouldn't try OLD at this point.
