I was wondering, I had been out with this woman a few times, tonight I'm suppose to be meeting and having dinner with her at her place.

 

She suggest we make dinner together and we'll be watching some movies, too.

 

Since this is only the FIRST time at her place, do you think I should prepare an overnight bag (but keep it in the car, not have it with me when I come through the door)

 

 

Just in case sex may happen?

 

Ladies, when you had a guy over to your place the first time, did he expect sex or did you even expect sex?

It depends. What were the previous dates like? Was there lots of kissing, making out etc.? Anything to give you the impression that she is interested in sex?

 

If all you have done so far is exchange hugs and chaste pecks on the lips when you say goodbye, I would not expect sex.

 

But to answer your original question: It does not hurt to bring an overnight bag, does it? Just put one together and leave it in your car.

Yeah, so far small, but multiple kisses on the lips when saying good night and hello. We haven't gone to the "Make out" part yet.

 

But when out at parties and we are getting our groove on (esp when a couple of beers in us) she starts movin' a little against me as she leans up against me while the music is playing. Things like that.

 

Normally, she's not much for letting men she doesn't know well touching her at all, so that's an achievement itself. lol

 

Apparently, she goes out with friends to a local bar/restaurants to see local bands play, and there'd always be this one guy approaching her and would attempt to touch her as he talks and she just leans away from him.

 

 

When she went to the bathroom, her married friend told strange guy, "Don't touch her, she HATES being touched!"

 

Sorry, to get off subject, but that just gives an idea that I've gotten past the "touching" stage. LOL. I think it's best that way, as with my recent excitement over dates lately and then to be disappointed, I've been a bit more guarded. :)

HELL NO!!!!! Even if one thing leads to another and you do end up staying over, MAJOR turn off if you run out to your car to grab your "overnight bag" that you planned and packed in advance.

 

This is a 3rd date. Overnight bag, NO.

 

Edit to add: I wait a bit longer (multiple dates - exclusive) to bring them to my house to hang out.....but yeah, once that happens he's getting laid LOL.

That just sounds funny..."overnight bag", I don't know about you guys but for me this includes;

 

- my favorite pillow

- toothbrush and mouthwash

- bunny slippers

- favorite bed time story book (and don't skip a page, I'll know it!)

- two pairs of underwear (sometimes there's "accidents" in the middle of the night)

- teddy bear

- nite light

- emergency contact list in case something bad happens

Where did you get the idea I sound like a perv? LOL I'm asking a serious question here. And no, I'm not HOPING for sex, I just want to prepare for it just in case SHE may want to have sex.

 

newsflash. a full overnight bag hidden in a car is best. if he's not prepared some other man will be.

 

Not sure where you're going with this.

Look irc, don't bring your travel bag to the date...even if it's in your car.

 

I'm pretty sure you can hack putting on some of your clothes you wore the previous night if things turn sexy and you end up by some chance staying the night.

 

Who knows, she might even have a washer and dryer you could use in the worst case scenario!

 

I wouldn't jump to conclusions yet or even psychologically "prepare" yourself for that outcome, it's just not a good way to go into things...you should be prepared to go eat some food, and have a nice time...spend some time watching movies with your date...that's it, whatever happens beyond that is not to be over-analyzed and thought about...it's not a camping trip or going over your buddies house.

 

If the situation was already agreed upon that you were going to stay the night that would be different...let's say for example you were traveling out of town or whatever it was and it was going to get late, then you can bring your mickey mouse bag with the necessities.

 

Otherwise, brush your teeth with your finger or even a travel toothbrush if you really must...it's not uncommon for people to carry those anyway..then put back on your "filthy" clothes that you probably wore for several hours anyway in which I hope you take a shower before even going over...that should hold you over to coming home the next day.

 

If there's some kind of medication you need, or something maybe you're worried about...put some in a plastic bag in your back pocket or something for whatever you'd need for that time.

Can you just.....roll with it? Live without a safety net. Or an overnight bag :p

Go with the flow. No overnight bag. Focus on the moment. Enjoy the dinner and the movies and whatever happens, happens. Take control of yourself. Just because a woman invites you over for dinner when dating doesn't mean that sex is going to be the dessert.

And don't think about sex and plan the entire evening keeping that in mind... let things flow naturally...
