sporteguy03 Posted December 23, 2004 Posted December 23, 2004 I had an unpleasant blind date set-up by my mom last night. My Mom is an new member coordinator at her Temple. She met a new couple who happened to have a daughter who was 21 close to my age of 24. It was their mutual decision my mom and her mom that I meet her daughter and she meets me. Supposeldly, this girl was a girl-next door type, you know everything a girl should be. My mom gave this girl my email address, I love my mom:) before telling me anything about this girl, so ok Mom knows best so I went ahead with it. I emailed this girl and said let's go to Applebees's she emailed me back and said ok and then sent another email and wanted to go to Chili's. Because she liked that better ok, fine. She came up from Miami to Ocala about 270 miles, I drove 2 hours from Orlando to Ocala to do this. I meet her at Chili's. She is wearing a shaul? I guess it is called a Poncho, I guess those are trendy with girls, she is wearing flip flops and jeans, she looked like a nursing home women! now this is a blind date and I come dressed in khakis and a Structure Jersey and dress shoes. I go to shake her hand and tries to french kiss me and I pulled back on a blind date heck no not at first at least!!! So we go in and eat, she says she doesn't like Chilis either really but not as much as she hates Applebees. I see she has a tongue ring gross!!! At least to me piercings are gross other than ears. But ok I got over that, she tells me she can get a boyfriend and wonders why her mom did this. She orders two alocoholic drinks and does not finish her meal. I paid the bill, she made no gesture to pay at all or even thanked me for coming in right after work to do this and did not say thank you for the meal. I felt kinda upset she wasted food to not even box it up was rude. She hardly talked at all and poked at my job at Disney and that where I live sucks, I just remained silent I was hungry and needed to use my mouth to swallow then talk to her..... yeah this was bad news. I told my mom who was appalled at this girl and her mom. My mom told me she won't do this again, she tried in the past to help but those failed also. I love my mom, and she is trying to help. I am 24 and not been in a serious relationship or had a girlfriend, so I can see her and my dad's concern. They might think I'm gay? I do tell them that the girls I meet are well rude and jerks and I always feel I can do much better then that. Any help on how to explain this to my parents in a way to convey to them I am trying? Another thing, What do you make of a girl trying to kiss on first meeting on a blind date? And What do you guys think of a girl not saying thank you or offering to pay at least a tip or her portion of the meal???? Thanks!

I probably wouldnt have even given you a HUG (i'm not very touchy when I dont know someone), so the idea of kissing, especially w/ TONGUE!!!!! BLEH!!! hilarious (here's a little reminder for you to enjoy: ) I'd also like to say that I cant figure out how all you men are meeting such horrible people!!!! Not only in this situation, b/c I understand you didnt know at the time, but other guys on here that talk about what terrible women they've dated. I cant even conceive of the idea of treating someone like that!!! quite saddening to me really...b/c there are so many teriffic women out there! (side question: i lived in Fl for 10 yrs so I know where Ocala is...why in the world did you both go so far north to Ocala?!)
