curiousnycgirl Posted December 27, 2004 Posted December 27, 2004 Do you have a good relationship with his assistant? Could you ask her how to approach it? Assistants are our greatest resource for almost all matters! It is critical to have good relationships with them - they can help us soo much. That's what I would do.
CurvyGurl Posted December 27, 2004 Posted December 27, 2004 I'm afraid there isn't a way to do this without appearing greedy and petty. So, either let it go or put on your 'power outfit' and go for the gusto and ask him.
Author Naive Posted December 27, 2004 Author Posted December 27, 2004 Well I decided to leave it alone. I guess it's just mu luck!!!!
Stone Posted December 27, 2004 Posted December 27, 2004 I think you made the right choice, you'll get yours in diffrent ways
Mr Spock Posted December 27, 2004 Posted December 27, 2004 I do agree, 50 bucks is nothing to get excited over-and it's important to remember not to EXPECT anything like that-nice if you get it, if you don't you've always got your regular salary. Sure, it's nice to have it-but it's nicer not to have a boss think you're grubbing for money.
tiki Posted December 27, 2004 Posted December 27, 2004 Have a coworker mention it to him. "You know, Naive didn't get $50.00 in her envelope?! Isn't that the strangest thing?!"

If so, anyone who witnessed it (and therefore knows you are not pretending to have gotten an empty envelope) might be the best person to mention the fact. Do you think someone could have stolen a 50 $ note from a random envelope in a moment the envelopes were left unattended? Such things *can* happen
debs Posted December 30, 2004 Posted December 30, 2004 Gosh it was empty hmmmmmmm??? Sorry but it is a little late to do this. It will be looked upon as if the money was put in there and your saying it wasn't! How is he to know you did or didn't get anything in the envelope after the days have passed! Had this been taken care of immediately at the party, then she had the opportunity!!!! Sorry guys this is a no brainer now. She is dealing with an attorney!!!!!
Devildog Posted December 30, 2004 Posted December 30, 2004 Or, since you are dealing with an attorney, make a lawyer joke out of it. Ask him what the statute of limitations is on something like that.
