I was in a relationship with him for 2 yrs, I loved him and we had talked about marriage. However in the end things didn't work out and we mutually agreed to call it quites. I've moved on and have truly found the love of my life. I realize now I was not IN LOVE with my ex. We have some mutual friends and he's telling them he still loves me and he realizes now he had the perfect girl and life and he ruined it all by his behavior. I want nothing to do with him, how do you deal with your ex still in love with you?

Well....if he doesnt bother you and he isnt really doing anything to you, then just keep doing what you are doing. There is really no reason to do anything about it currently. If it gets to a point where he keeps telling mutual friends about it and its getting in the way of YOU being friends with THEM, then ask this question again. Until that happens, just keep moving forward. Congrats on the new relationship.

You ignore him.

You also gloat -- privately -- that you "won"

If he's trying to get back into your life you politely tell him that ship sailed. If he doesn't back off you get increasingly less polite & you call the police if his behavior crosses the line to stalking or harassment.

If he's not bothering you, and you've moved on, what do you have to deal with? Why is this even an issue if he hasn't contacted you?

It's not really an issue as I'm very happy in my new relationship. I'm just tired of hearing about him and his feelings towards me from others. I wish they'd drop the subject

If they mention him, say, "Not my business and I am not interested in his issues/feelings." Sometimes you have to be cruel to be kind. If your friends/family/acquaintances are still talking about you to him then they are being cruel because he may think there is hope. Make sure they know there isn't and it is just annoying you at this point.

Tell your friends to stay out of it. I'm sure he doesn't mean for them to report back to you (ugh, once i told my friend I still missed my ex, and the next thing i know one of them says "she wants me to say that she misses you too, but just as friends." ...UGH! Broke no contact inadvertantly).

Tell them to tell him that he just needs to move on. Ask them to encourage him to realize there is someone better for him, someone who will be in love with him...that you are doing your own thing.

And then ask them not to mention it again.
