Girl I've been doing stuff with recently, just invited me to her birthday party?

Hey guys' its been a few days since last logged into here and its been good in a way. Unfortunately due to extraneous circumstances I was unable to accompany my parents to Florida for the funeral and subsequently Thanksgiving dinner. I've spent the past few days taking care of the ol' family dog and just chilling, hitting the gym, and watching football.

 

Unfortunately it got me thinking of the girl situation quite a bit. I remembered her ('real' -last was just a party day) birthday is tomorrow, and was wondering what (if anything) I should say? She wished me a happy Thanksgiving/good holiday break through text last Friday. and also given the situation once its settled a bit, should I keep trying for her, if so how? I just got a lot (realistic) negative feedback of the situation from a few friends that have said its time to call it done.
