Willusmile Posted November 14, 2013 Posted November 14, 2013 So quick backstory, I was dumped by my BF of 5 years in July. We were living together, but have since moved apart and I have been strict NC with him for 5 months. No texting, no talking, I deleted my Facebook etc etc. So my question is what is the best way to get your stuff back if you are in NC? With the turmoil of the breakup, I seem to have forgetten a few things when I moved out. Often I would write this off as a loss, but the items are of sentimental value(Christmas ornaments passed down, older family photos etc) and thus cannot be replaced. I really don't want to talk/see him at all since I feel it would be a huge step backward for me. Any ideas?
me85 Posted November 14, 2013 Posted November 14, 2013 Do what I did. Have a friend/mutual friend get your things for you. If that's not an option then email him and ask to make arrangements for you to pick up his things while he's not there. I hope he lets you. Good luck.
Author Willusmile Posted November 18, 2013 Author Posted November 18, 2013 Thank you for the advice. Most unfortunately it seems I will have to text him. Hopefully I don't make a fool of myself. I'll just try and act professional.
