bigpun Posted December 22, 2004 Posted December 22, 2004 Hey all, Im a little confused with this girl ive been seeing recently. We are both at the same university and are currently in seperate cities for xmas holidays. Anyway i just cant tell if she likes me or not. We were talking all night at a party we met at and ive seen her numerous times since but always at other parties or nights out. We have a pretty good friendship which is why i dont want to rush in asking her on a date or whatever. Her mate says that she likes me but i think shes just trying to encourage me. When we are sat down she will lean her head on my chest or shoulder which makes me think she cant think im that bad. We have been messaging each other over the xmas holiday which she initiates most of the time. Last night she sent me a message saying that she misses me which of course got my hopes up but then ten mins later she sends another message saying 'Not to be worried, she misses me in the way she misses her mates then says shes going to sleep now'. Ive not got a clue where to go with this and wont see her untill january. Confused.
Devildog Posted December 22, 2004 Posted December 22, 2004 You know, the number of relationships that never were is astronomical. And mostly because neither interested party had the guts to put their necks and feelings on the line. She is probably sitting there at home wondering if you like her or not. She is giving clues hoping you will make a move if you are interested. So make a move. Being friends is good, but after a certain amount of time you pass a point where you are too good of a friend to jeapordize your friendship with dating. If you just want to be friends and spend the rest of your life wondering what if, then keep doing what you have been doing. But if you want your life to be what is, put your self out there. Her mate says that she likes me but i think shes just trying to encourage me. When we are sat down she will lean her head on my chest or shoulder which makes me think she cant think im that bad. Funny thing about mortals, they can see things clearly when it doesn't directly involve them. But when they are directly affected by the situation, they are blind to the obvious. So I would give alot more weight to what her buddy tells you than your own clouded observations. The mate doesn't have an emotional stake clouding their judgement.
