Hello everyone,

So here's my situation: my ex-girlfriend broke up with me 6 month ago, we stayed in touch by asking each other how we were doing on a weekly basis, which was a big mistake as I move on quite slowly because of that, our small talked became cold as ice in the end anyway, especially from her, so it was definitely time to end it, so about a month ago I totally stopped giving news, and so did she.

However on monday this week, i received from her the title of a song from Radiohead, "creep". At first judging by the name of the song I tought to myself "that can't be good..." but the lyrics of this song often says "You're so ****ing special". Maybe i overthink that and she just sent the music just for the sake of sending it, and that did not mean anything.

So I didn't reply, but today I received another message from her, asking me how i was doing.

She probably just wants to have some news, but the song make her intention quite blury.

What sould I respond to her? or should I even respond?

Thank you all for your advices

Creep isn't exactly a romantic song though, you realise. Keep going with NC til you aren't in the stage where you start analysing the lyrics to songs she sends you. Then maybe you can be friends.

It may or may not have a significant meaning. Or maybe there's just ONE line there that applies to you. But you'll never know which one because you can't read her mind.

The more you think about it, the more it'll drive you crazy. I know it's so much easier said than done, but the best course or action is not to think about it.

I agree. You can't think about it too much. However, if YOU were to send someone a song, regardless of what song or what the situation was, there is meaning. What that meaning is, you don't know. But usually, there is. Nobody just sends a song out of the blue.
