ms32013 Posted November 12, 2013 Posted November 12, 2013 So I recently I met this girl back in august when I was back home. I currently live no where near her due to my job. We hit it off great at first. I liked her immediately and she liked me. When I returned to my job we continued to talk and skype. Everything was going good but we were never officially together. Then recently she told me that she cant do any sort of long distance relationship and I agreed as I have had a bad experience in the past with those. She knows I am moving back in about 9 months and I would like to have a relationship once I am home. But since she told me this her communication has seemed to decline. I feel like for the most part I initiate all the calls and texts conversations. I will be back home in a few weeks and we will see each other again. Do you think it would be better to stop trying to talk to her as much and see if she picks up initiating the conversations again? Has she just lost interest completly? Also what is the best way to go about a situation like this? As in keep trying to talk a lot or just slow communication until I am back and see how we feel about each other?
d0nnivain Posted November 12, 2013 Posted November 12, 2013 Chat intermittently with her just to maintain the connection / let her know you are alive. About a month before you head home reach out & tell her you expect to be home by [date] & ask if it would be OK for you to contact her once you are settled. Move back. Settle in. Call her & ask for a date.
