brokenheart1992
It's been 4 months since the break up, and I'm finally starting to heal now. The 3 months following the break up, I had no motivation to do anything... my grades were suffering, I slept too much, cried everyday and it just felt like a drug addiction. Some days I would feel better and then other days, the nightmares happen all over again. It's like I was on an emotional roller coaster. During those 3 months, I would constantly text my ex and I wasn't getting anywhere. I would ask him if he could drive me home but he would say no because he's driving his friends home. Then one day, I decided to stop and pick myself up and start healing. I stopped contacting him, except when I saw him in class, I would just say hey or something. It's getting better but I still wonder what's he doing or where he is sometimes. I wonder if he's starting to see other girls, but I wouldn't know about it anyways. It would be better if I knew, then maybe I can really let go. I still love him and if he was willing to give me another chance and start over, I would gladly accept. But he's already rejected me a few times and it seems like he's done. So I stop bothering him and start to move on. But just when I'm starting to let go, he texts me and asks me if I need a ride home. What??? Why is he doing this... I honestly don't know what he's thinking.
Confusedguy81
Most likely he is doing it to see how much control he has over you regarding your emotions. Dumpers love to do this-they text to keep tabs on you so to speak and are trying to get their ego stroked. I'm sure many of the posters here would agree that you should completely ignore him. Maintain no contact until your absolutely ready. NC is great for regaining your own respect and control over your life and feelings. Just my 2 cents.
highred
He might be contacting you because of your NC. Lack of contact creates curiosity. If you are always texting, he has no reason to miss you.
