Do you have to have sex the first few times with a FWB?

I'll be upfront, I'm sexually frustrated BUT I value sex enough to not do it with just anyone, so would a FWB situation work if we just fooled around and did other things the first few times before we actually had sex?

Or does that mean I just need to wait for a relationship? :p

Do you want a relationship? Are you capable of NSA sex? Do you wanna get to know the person you're gonna be sleeping with?

Ya i have fwb and we usually do something first rather than just get right down to business. Maybe get a few drinks or go for a walk or something.

The particular guy I'm referring to is someone I could be interested in actually dating, but knowing his track record I'm not sure it would be a safe idea for me.

It took me forever to lose my virginity because I was waiting for the right person, so there's a part of me that feels like if I do this all the waiting I did before would have gone to waste.

To have a "successful" FWB interaction -- notice I didn't say relationship -- it has to be all physical with no emotions at all. You can define how physical it gets but it's all about the body. If you think your heart & soul & emotions are going to come into play, like you might fall for him, you can't have a FWB interaction because somebody will get hurt. NEVER start a FWB interaction thinking that it will cause somebody to fall in love with you. That rarely works.

From what you posted, I don't think you are a good candidate to even try NSA sex. Even if you can turn off your own emotions in general, because you like this guy, I see disaster because you want to be loved, not just f**ked.
