As my attempt in moving on, I hit it off with this guy at a party this past weekend. I had met him once before through a friend, and we ran into each other again at the party. We ended up fooling around in my car before we were interrupted halfway.

He texted me the next day talking and I thought I would be bold and ask if he wanted to pick up where we left off one of these days. He happily accepted and said he has the house to himself during the week and to let him know when I'm free. We figured Wednesday and he said he would text me to make sure that he would actually have the house to himself that day.

He did text me Tuesday night and told me to come over if I still wanted to and I said that I would get there around 7 and I would text him when I got off work.

A couple of hours before I was supposed to be there he texted me saying "Hey we are going to have to reschedule. My brother came over with his kids. Sorry."

I responded saying that sucked and asked if he wanted to sneak away later and I could go pick him up. No response. No attempt to reschedule.

Mainly I'm irritated that I didn't get a response to my last text but I am just curious as to why he wouldn't attempt to actually reschedule when he was gonna get laid with no hope for a relationship, essentially.

You're too desperate

You're too desperate

And asking him to sneak away when he told you he was busy, makes you pushy. Stop.

Touche. And as far as being desperate, the only thing that may have made me seem desperate was my last text to him. And the only reason why I sent that was out of frustration, but I know I shouldn't have sent it.

Doubt I'll be getting a reschedule now. ;)

He was busy with his brother and kids, and you pushed the issue. Pushy, desperate? Yep, both fitting.
