mortensorchid Posted November 7, 2013 Posted November 7, 2013 I have gotten myself into a bit of a predicament. Let me explain ... I have noticed (perhaps others have as well) that when it rains, it pours. After weeks/months of no action, all of a sudden I have a rush of guys wanting to be with me. The first seems like a good guy, until I found out during a texting session the other day that he is divorced and has 4 kids all under age 13. I admit, I did not ask whether or not he was ever married at the first meeting (we met on the Tinder app), but 4 kids?!?! Wow. Other than that, he seems like a good guy. He even used to be 100 lbs heavier than he is now and lost all the weight. Quite honestly, I was put off to hear he has 4 kids. That's a lot of baggage and a lot of kids. The second is a good guy as well, at least he seems to be. He has many irons in the fire in the arts around here (as an actor/director), and he seems interested in me, which is good. We have a get together scheduled for this Friday. The third? Divorced with 4 kids as well! It's a lot of baggage to have 4 kids. I've never been married nor do I have kids. I'm not opposed to the idea, but 4?!?!? What do others think? Also of note : I doubt the third on this list I will ever see again. The first and second are more interested then he is. Just a coincidence that I mention him in the mix.
Ruby Slippers Posted November 7, 2013 Posted November 7, 2013 I've never dated a guy with kids. I haven't avoided them intentionally, but I've found plenty of prospects who don't have any kids. I'd like to have kids and would prefer to have them with someone who would also become a parent for the first time. Since "?!?!" is your reaction to a guy with kids (or a lot of kids), I'd say that's something to avoid.
Sonya_dos Posted November 7, 2013 Posted November 7, 2013 People always lose weight after the divorce because they need to attract. But then they get comfortable again. Anyways, The four kids sounds like too much but sometimes you can't help when you feel a spark for someone.
