Sup everyone.

I've been interested in a girl for about a month and we've hit it off pretty well. I hear she's into me, and I could do with some sweet lovin', too. Thing is, she's a real sophisticated type. She does ballet, loves Broadway, and buys products from Starbucks that I couldn't even pronounce, let alone spout off.

Let's start with something about me: I eat Taco Bell. I watch football. I appreciate the fine arts as much as the next guy--but I like explosions and stuff. My ideal date consists of a comedy club, some pool, and a little rough-and-tumble in the movie theatre.

The other day I took this girl--we'll call her Carla--out to lunch. I'm a high schooler, by the way, so we had a confined 45 minutes for lunch (but it's cool). Her choice of eatery. We head to the local organic food store and she has a quarter-pound of some salad stuff. I take on some "Oriental Rice with something and blah." I can't remember. After a nice lunch, we head back and I ask if later (after her ballet show), she wants to go check out a movie.

She says yeah. After some thought. I'm thrown off, because I was expecting a warm smile and a nod or a "yeah, sure." But whatever...

Her ballet show--The Nutcracker, that's one messed-up story--ends on Sunday, so I might get some time next week to take her out and show her a good time. I just don't know how to treat her right. Any suggestions?

I was thinking flowers at the ballet show. Too soon?

hope you can afford to date her long enough to see if you really like her.

Thanks, man. I'm hoping to find a good flower place in town...maybe slip in a note, too. You're right about the expenses. She'll run me out of house and home if we date for too long...

Anyone else?

Sorry for posting twice in a row, but I could really use some advice. :)

I wonder what it is about her you like? From what you've said you don't feel the two of you really have anything in common? Soooo.. IF you're wanting to date her based on her looks alone.. then I would say scrap that plan and find someone you can actually have a good time with.. where you can find some common ground.
