Besides, little girls don't get into schooyard fights the same way that little boys do. Well, at least they didn't. The last time I was in an elementary school, Nixon was President.
IhavenoFREAKINclue Posted December 15, 2004 Posted December 15, 2004 Know what i HATE..........when people take a normal name like Nicole and try to change the spelling.....like it mysterious I say someone spell Nicole...Niquole...C'MON PEOPLE!!!!! Stick with the regular old spelling of names. nobody is going to go "Wow your so artistic by spelling your name different than the 4 million people who have it."
HokeyReligions Posted December 15, 2004 Posted December 15, 2004 Originally posted by Scott S I would name a boy Joel, & name a girl Kestrel. I've never seen "Kestrel" as a name before. It puts me in mind of the book Watership Down where they save an injured bird and found it to be very dirty. But that is just me. What, if any, kind of middle name do you like with that? I'll have to hold on to that name, its unusual and I 'collect' unusual names.

It is a very handsome bird, & is quite swift & graceful in flight! I suppose you could use any middle name you wish, and as many. How about the "wee little squirrel" with "wee bit of Scotch in his family tree, He's Angus McFergus McTavish Dundee!"
SoleMate Posted December 15, 2004 Posted December 15, 2004 Horrible names (my sincere apologies to your or your loved ones if needed, and please don't try to kick my butt, I'm small and weak ): Anything mispelled LaVerne Leroy Brandee Tiffany Jason Brianna and now, "Breiyannha"

moimeme Posted December 16, 2004 Posted December 16, 2004 ...Niquole...C'MON PEOPLE!!!!! Stick with the regular old spelling of names. nobody is going to go "Wow your so artistic by spelling your name different than the 4 million people who have it." I have to agree more. There's nothing kind about condemning your kid to having to spell out his or her name for the rest of his or her life. If it were me, I'd curse my mother every time I had to say "no no no, it's B...R.. E.....I...Y.....H........"
JackieQ Posted December 16, 2004 Posted December 16, 2004 Boy: Jack or Jake... Girl: Maya, Zoe or Zoey I agree with the wierd spellings and will also say don't do any cutsey things like India Ana Smith or Seldom Wright. Or god forbid, something like Niki Sixx Adams...
