theedge Posted December 15, 2004 Posted December 15, 2004 Hey all, Curious to see how people are when it comes to dating/relationships. When I first met my girlfriend and we were getting to know each others personality I brought up the idea of Yes men. You know the "Yes men/women" Its like they have no opinion and agree on just about anything the other person says to make them happy. Myself, I do have my own opinions, but I am very laid back and easy going. I am more a yes man when it comes to plans for going out or making plans. I can tell to a degree it irks her cause no one likes a yes man. Its funny when she says "Do you want to go here or there?" Then I usually pull the typical of "Either is fine, what do you want to do?" In some cases I know she just wants me to spit out an anwer, I feel thats what she wants so now I am spitting out a response lol. So tell me are you a decsion maker? Do you sometimes bend your opinions to match what your b/f or g/f would say?

Once in a while I will bend my opinions but not often and never on things I feel strongly about.
Adunaphel Posted December 15, 2004 Posted December 15, 2004 I used to be a yes-woman, and I still am to some extent.
LucreziaBorgia Posted December 15, 2004 Posted December 15, 2004 It depends on the situation. For something simple like picking out a place to eat - then yes, I'm a yes woman. My husband and I can drive around and around saying "what do you want to eat?", "I dunno, what do you want?" ad nauseum. For things that are more obligational in nature, I've learned to be a 'no' person and I'm much happier for that.
