LilySun Posted November 3, 2013 Posted November 3, 2013 1st date was decent, and I sensed that he liked me. That was one day last week. We have texted here and there since. We hugged but it didnt end with a kiss. earlier in the week I had told him I am off work all weekend. So he said that maybe we can do something Sunday (because he worked Saturday). So I agreed that sounds good. Saturday came and went and he didn't text or mention it. This morning (Sunday) I said good morning, then we chatted back and forth a few minutes and he still has not mentioned getting together. Should I say something? If he didn't like me then why is he still talking to me?
d0nnivain Posted November 3, 2013 Posted November 3, 2013 Since he hasn't mentioned it after the 1st casual suggestion, I would assume that he wasn't serious. Once I convinced myself of this & the steeled myself against possible rejection, I would have mentioned something during the text exchange this morning sort of Are we still getting together today.. . . would you like to ______ ?
Author LilySun Posted November 3, 2013 Author Posted November 3, 2013 I did end up just asking what he had planned for later. He said he wasn't sure, and to text him after my softball game...which I did...and again, he didn't say let's get together. i don't have patience for this half-ass effort. Either make plans with me or don't. I could have made plans to do something with friends by now. :/
Author LilySun Posted November 3, 2013 Author Posted November 3, 2013 Well by 4pm I like to know what Im doing. So I politely just said tonight isn't good but I would be happy to do something another day. He says that sounds good. Then I told him which days I'm open. Then he says...I will let you know which day. Done. I don't do beating around the bush and frankly, what a wussy for not just saying he isn't interested.
Mascara Posted November 3, 2013 Posted November 3, 2013 Had a few dates with guys like this. They want to keep you on the hook while they work out if they want to see you again, or to see if something else they have going on pans out. Ultimately though, it's never worked out with one of those. 1
Author LilySun Posted November 4, 2013 Author Posted November 4, 2013 Guess I can't say I have never done that before...but usually, I know if I like them or not pretty quickly. Don't really need time to think about it...like them enough for a 2nd date, anyway.
