Yes, it happens. We met on POF *GASP*.

There are worthwhile, normal people that do OLD.

Disclaimer: we are worthwhile and normal to each other LOL, just like looks are subjective (beauty in the eye of the beholder)

My boyfriend and I met on OKC, and have been together since July. I like to think of us an online dating success story, and even if we end up breaking up (unlikely, but you never know), I'd still consider us a success.

We had something like 85% match, and I had messaged him originally because he mentioned he finds carnivores quite attractive. I'm a low-carber (for weight + personal lifestyle choice... I'm a carnivore for life) and I found this adorable.

Turns out... we're basically the same person. We like the same music (down to the same songs from the same artists being our favorites), the same activities, we share the same sense of humor. We're voracious readers, love the same kind of video games, cooking... we also share negatives of our personalities. We are clingy and jealous types, hot headed and judgemental from time to time, set in our ways and stubborn as hell. We're hardworking people who really value our families, and share the same views about children, and so many other things.

So, even if we end up breaking up, I consider us a success because through us, I have found it is possible to find people you are incredibly attracted to both physically and emotionally. I found my other half, and I feel very lucky about that.
