kayleependarvis Posted November 3, 2013 Posted November 3, 2013 So I am working on surprising my long distance boyfriend for Christmas. He is military and stationed in California, and I live in Washington. He is originally from Florida and was talking about going home for the holidays so I decided to spend Thanksgiving down there with him, and maybe catch part of his trip home for Christmas, but due to scheduling issues with his command, he isn't taking leave for Christmas anymore. So he thinks that I am flying down after Christmas but I have already booked the trip to get there Christmas eve. I am not so worried about the ways to surprise him, since I am going down for Thanksgiving, I am going to set it up with his best friend to invite him over to hang for Christmas eve, spend the night, get off base and feel at home. But what I am considering is trying to set up a coded letter or a puzzle that he gets a piece of every day for the 20 days that we will be apart from Thanksgiving to Christmas eve. I can't fully decide how or what to do though so input would be greatly appreciated. I have surprised him once before, and just showed up at his truck, dressed to the nines and recorded his reaction. He absolutely loved it and talks about the surprise to this day. I want to make it special and I know he will love it no matter what.
