muffinman1127 Posted November 2, 2013 Posted November 2, 2013 Hey guys, so I dated my now ex for a year, her first of college and my last of high school. Then she broke up with me, mostly because we're young and I definitely had some issues to work out. I'm now at the same university, and 5 months post BU she started flirting and we ended up hooking up and "trying again." This lasted two days, then she freaked out and said she was confused, it was bad timing, and that we had too much history. I fixed a lot of my problems, but we're still young so I accepted it, but two days is hardly a second chance. I'm now going full NC, which I didn't do the first time. Does this sound like the makings of a bad on-off relationship or something that could have a chance at working some day when we aren't so young? What are other people's experiences with second break ups?
d0nnivain Posted November 2, 2013 Posted November 2, 2013 Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. Very few relationships survive the transition from high school to college. Yours didn't. NC is your best bet. Keep yourself busy. Join a club. Pledge a fraternity. Work out. Study. Do whatever but stay away from her. This second break up is evidence that the 1st break up was the right thing to do. 1
Sugarkane Posted November 3, 2013 Posted November 3, 2013 You go NC because obviously something isn't working.
