We hit it off immediately via chat/email......we ended up spending hours on the phone talking (he lived about 10 hrs away from me)........One conversation was 16 hrs long, if I do recall. He was so smitten with me (it was mutual), he decided to make the long drive out to see me, I was so flattered. He showed up at my doorstep, with a dozen roses in hand....both of us very shy and nervous but after an hour we felt like we'd known each other forever. He spent the weekend......(no, we didn't sleep together).....and it was so great I didn't want him to leave (but he had to be at work on Tuesday)....so I decided to drive back home with him.......he was ecstatic. I ended up staying for 2 weeks....met his children, his parents, his friends.....we were both on cloud 9. About 3 months later I sold my home and relocated to where he lived (shortly before this, he proposed and I'd accepted). It was very "whirlwind" - I got caught up in the newness and excitement of it all, him treating me so well in comparison to how awful my ex husband had treated me..........such that I overlooked a lot of the "red flags" and I ended up having to end things with him several months later............and I learned a great lesson from it all, but it was like a 2 week "first date" and it was awesome.

Dang! A 2 Week first date! LOL that's got to be a record?! Thats awesome;)

So.. what happend with him? Do you still talk to him or no?

I do know what you're saying with being treated sooooo well.. after being crapped on.. it's not hard to get excited about things.. I'm going slow here.. and taking it all in.. I don't want another idiot in my life again either...
