A guy that offers to help you move, that is so considerate and unselfish. And he takes the kids 50% instead of weekends or worse, every other weekend. Caring too!

Sometimes the chemistry can be so good, that you don't want to ruin it by rushing into the sack. And with guys, you never know. They like it while they are doing it, then after, think "she did it with me on the first date, maybe she does it with everyone!" I think we all new where ours were about, so WTF, it feels to good to stop now! :p

My "date" and I were phone/e-mail buddies for about 3 mos. so I already knew it was heading that way, and went into it with my eyes wide open. That way no expctations and one gets hurt.

I hope it turns out well for you, Merin. You deserve it, you have had a rough time lately. Keep us posted! And don't even worry about the tree, I don't have mine yet either. Making major changes in your life like moving or breaking up during the holidays is tough. Oh well.

You might just have yourself a handsome date for New Years Eve

NOTHING wrong with being a good DAD.

The kiss of death for me would be a guy who DIDN'T want to be part of his kiddo's life.

The longest first date I was ever on, the guy discussed stocks and bonds throughout a four-hour seven-course dinner. It was also the last date.

I believe I was carried out of the restaurant in a coma.

My first date with my bf of now 3 yrs was amazing! It practically lasted a month! I met him at a friend's b-day get together which my bf held at his apt. We had a couple drinks and after a while he and I left to go on a walk...instead we went for a swim, then a motorcycle ride in the hills, then ran all over our college campus in the dark and climbed on the top of buildings to see the Golden Gate Bridge...then went back to his place and talked, and fell asleep around 6 AM. We woke up at 10, each went to class...reconvened at 5 for dinner and a movie, and met up each day for a month! Then we slowed down a bit, and really got to know each other as ppl and not just as 2 college kids caught up in the moment, and have been madly in love since. That was when we were 21, and now we're almost 25.

Honestly, when I met him I was just having fun...I was wilder and crazier...mainly b/c I had just had my heart broken, as had he...but I found my best friend when I totally wasn't looking.

Good luck to you M!

My longest date was about 10-12 hours. I had a blast. I don't think I will ever do it again though.

It was my 22nd birthday and I just met a new guy. I live in Baltimore. We decided to drive up to Philly and spend some time there. We went to a bar/club. We had fun dancing and drinking. I think we were in Philly for three hours. Around midnight, my friend said "Lets go to Atlantic City!" At this time, I am feeling tipsy. I'm like, "Sure, whatever." We get to Atlantic City a little bit after one. We played a game of craps. We put $300 on the table and left with $1600. I think we lef t the casino about 6.

It was the longest and most interesting date I ever had.

Sounds like a very interesting date Baal!

Why wouldn't you do it again? Ever see this guy again after the date?

Posted

I never saw the guy again. We talked on the phone twice I think.

Around the middle of the date, he told me that he wanted to be his lady. I just kept quiet. He just wasn't the one for me. I just had a feeling that things were not going to work out. I didn't want to waste my time with it. Sometimes, you have to trust your instinct.

What made the date so good you didn't want it to end?

I just met an amazing guy this past Saturday.. nice looking, smart, polite.. He called me on Sunday and we spoke on the phone for a few.. made tenative plans to hook up sometime this week.. He called me yesterday and invited me to dinner.

We went to dinner at about 7 p.m.. stayed in the restaurant for awhile after having drinks and just talking.. went to a 1130 p.m showing of a movie.. and stayed up until 430 in the morning talking after that.

I'm tired as all hell today  but I think it was so worth it! He's a great guy:)

There were a lot of things that made the date exceptional.. but honestly.. he made me laugh, didn't take himself to seriously and was direct.. I liked that about him.

Before anything, I am so happy that you are not dwelling on you know who!!!!! I am so happy for you :)

Now the longest date I have ever had..........lasted about 2 days :D

ROFL. Yes it was. I'm a total foodie so, a seven-course zillion-dollar dinner is, well, high priority.

The longest GOOD first date I ever had went by much more quickly than that dinner did, though it lasted 24 hours. Went by in a flash. Great stuff most of which I probably shouldn't post, triple-X and all.

My longest first date - I picked her up for our first date at around 7pm and didn't leave until around noon the next day. That was a year and 5 months ago....we got engaged a week ago :D

Longest first date? Hmmm

well, I had two dates in one with this one guy (I can't remember his name now). I met him exactly the same way I met my husband. I was in market research at the time an I was interviewing this guy about some product or movie or something and he asked me out. He picked me up around 9 the next morning (Saturday) and we spent the entire day in Galveston. Go back around 11 that night. That's a pretty long date. It was our first, and last. He didn't ask me out again and I didn't care! :)

My husband I met at work and interviewd him about phone answering machines (something new emerging on the market and costing over $1000!) and he met me after work for coffee at Denny's. That was at 10pm. We sat in Denny's until 4:30AM (when they kicked us out and closed) so that was a pretty long time. I knew that evening that he was the one I would marry, and I did two years later. That was a loooooooong time ago! Before a lot of you were even born! :(
