hannibal Posted December 14, 2004 Posted December 14, 2004 Obviously I can't completely but how do I play it when I see her and have to work with her most days?
Naive Posted December 14, 2004 Posted December 14, 2004 Depends on why you two broke up. If it's bad just act like you don't know her.
SpaceCoyote Posted December 15, 2004 Posted December 15, 2004 Same situation here for me. I don't know if I have any great advice because I am not handling it well at all when I see my ex at work. I'd say be at your best on days when she is around you, i.e. be dressed well, look good, do your job well, be charismatic and funny with your coworkers, etc. Talk to her if you have to in the work setting and be very professional, like you are above it all, but if your paths don't cross for work, don't seek her out. Essentially, show her that you are just fine without her and she is missing out on someone good. I can vehemently say DON'T do what I did and visibly struggle to keep it together when she is around.... that won't do anything good for you and she'll just lose respect for you.
Weird Posted December 15, 2004 Posted December 15, 2004 Screw the no contact stuff. Just act like a grown man and separate your personal life from your job. If you have to talk to her on work related issues then do it. Rob's advice for the future...don't date someone you work with.
