So, I'm in a bit of a pickle. Quick bit of info - both 18 and live in the UK.

I've had a bit of a dry season when it comes to women but I've found someone who I get along with and have a lot in common with too! We've met a few times so far and they went really well! From what I can tell we're both physically attracted to each other and we can talk non stop for hours, the night always ended with a kiss and we're planning on meeting again soon so I think I can safely say we're both really interested.

My problem is that she has a 1 year old son.. When she was younger she hit depression and few other things and fell into drugs and alcohol and became pregnant at 16 - she was in a relationship and felt she was able to financially support him so kept him and is now clean and has set her life on track (So it became a good thing really and she's now heading towards going back to education once he's a bit older)

The dad is still involved with the kid but not her - I really like this girl and find myself thinking ahead a bit and like to think that we'd be a good couple but I would like to set more dates and such first... I'm also still pondering on the idea of 'Am I too young to enter this kind of situation' what do you guys think?

Hmmmmm, I would say yes you are waaaaay too young for an instant family. However, I'm also a hopeless romantic and think that you shouldn't pass up what could be a wonderful match.

Maybe you can tread lightly with becoming involved with her son....as in try not to become involved with him for a while as you get to know her and explain to her your reasonso she doesn't think that you are avoiding her child.

Just a thought. I think ultimately though, the consensus might be that you are too young.
